Motel De La Mer - Napier

Had a wonderful 2-night stay! The ground floor Spa Suite was spacious and had a super comfy bed. Loved the self-contained kitchenette. The location across from the beach was perfect, and I appreciated the warm welcome from the staff. It reminded me of a cozy retreat during my solo trip.

The location was magnificent and amazing, just a short walk away from a bronze statue. Our room was new-fashioned and airy provided with spa bath, the TV, shared balcony.

Some of the staff were very rude.

Staff were extremely friendly. Location: the hotel was really close to the shops, boardwalk, and New Zealand for a family wedding. Had nice dainties at Six Sisters Coffee House, located walking distance from the venue...

The rooms could greatly benefit from a refresh, especially the spa bath which looks outdated!!! The lack of sufficient lighting in the room, requiring constant artificial light use.

Our weekend at Motel de la Mer was perfect. The location was great; we were able to park the car and walk most places. Our room on the first floor had a lovely view of the ocean, was spacious, the huge spa bath was super, and the massive bed was super comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and helped us out with planning our days in Napier. Our room was serviced to perfection - not a thing out of place! We look forward to returning to Napier and to book again at Motel de la Mer - thank you for our special weekend away x

The staff are excellent and superfriendly. It has excellent and stunning location to see a Napier aquarium.

The room was spacious and clean, especially the bathroom with a rejuvenating spa bath that was a real treat after a long day. The decor felt elegant, with lovely touches like beautiful toiletries. Location-wise, being right across from the beach was perfect for morning walks and sunsets. I appreciated the cute nature of the owners, who provided excellent suggestions for local dining and attractions. On the downside, the Wi-Fi connection could be stronger, a bit inconvenient when I needed to catch up on some work. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I felt very comfortable .

Excellent location & facilities, very helpful staff

Beautiful property. Rooms were large &clean ,kitchens were lovely we had a jacuzzi,what a treat! Across street to Ocean, parking at front door.Cable TV fast WIFI. A perfect place to stay.

It set the standard of NZ hotels to high.

Ask the hosts for local restaurant suggestions. Their recommendations led us to some hidden gem eateries nearby.

Staff were extremely friendly. Had good sleep at the executive suite with good view🙂👍

Rooms were clean and to a high standard. Very spacious, more roomier than we expected. Although the motel is situated on the main rd in Napier - very little traffic noise at night. Comfortable walking distance to city, across the road from NZ Aquarium and childrens playground. Motelier was very informative and happy to help in anway possible.

The only dissapointment really, was the carpark was full - and I had to park out on the street.

The room was pristine and had a fantastic spa bath. I loved the ocean views, ideal for sunset vibes. Really appreciated the cleanliness and the warm atmosphere.

Limited parking and unable to use in room spa bath after 9.30pm

The room was excellant, comfortable & very clean. The couple who own it are absolutely lovely. They were so kind, friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel & fully intend to return there as soon as possible.
